As part of their coverage of the 2024 Mohawk Hudson Marathon and Half Marathon, which took place in Albany, NY, this local newspaper highlighted four pictures and three runners:
A – The marathon winner, male B – The marathon winner, female C – Adolfo Salgueiro
I don’t know or understand why they chose me among 1500 participants, but they did. Click on the image below for the online article that ran in the Times Union on Monday, October 14, 2024. I am the 4th picture.
Adolfo Salgueiro, head coach for Foultips.Run was recently highlighted in a feature story in VoyageMIA Magazine. The story is a profile on Coach Adolfo’s career as a runner and his projection as a running coach. The title of the article is “Exploring Life & Business with Adolfo Salgueiro”.
VoyageMIA is an online outlet focused on highlighting the best of the 305/786 (Miami area codes)- from freelance makeup artists that will dazzle you to the best meetup groups in town. Coach Salgueiro was featured in a section called Miami’s Most Inspiring Stories.

Runner’s World Magazine, the reference media outlet for the running community for over 50 years, ran an article on April 27, titled “How to Pace a 5K So You Can Hit Your PR”. It was written by Stephen Sheehan. The expert quoted throughout the narrative was Coach Adolfo Salgueiro, head coach at Foultips.Run.
“I have been a Runner’s World reader since the early 1980s,” Stated Coach Salgueiro. “Being able to contribute to one of their articles is a dream come true. The fact they wanted my expertise on the subject is a statement to the value of the decades of experience and preparation I’ve put into this passion of mine.”
This is the second time Coach Adolfo has been in Runner’s World. A summary on his running career ran back in March 2021.

Ghosts of the Orange Bowl is a Facebook page with over 7,000 followers. Back in January 2023 they picked up on my blog post on the 40th Anniversary of my running of the Orange Bowl Marathon 1983, which finished inside the stadium. The only image I have for that race is approaching the finish line, inside the stadium.
The Orange Bowl was built in Miami back in 1937 that served as the home field for many local sports teams until 2008, when it was demolished to make room for the new Miami Marlins Stadium. Its most illustrious tenant was the Miami Dolphins (1966-1986).

Marathon Training Academy is one of the most popular running podcasts out there. Angie and Trevor Spencer have been teaching and entertaining runners for about 13 years. In December 2022 they celebrated their 400th episode with a potpourri of audio messages from their listeners reminiscing how they got started as runners. They included Coach Adolfo’s audio.

He is also a co-host of the Total Car Score podcast. On top of it, and despite the fact he doesn’t feel like calling himself a runner, he is an avid runner and in July 2022 he completed a 2-year streak.
Automotive journalist, Javier Mota
To commemorate his achievement, he released a special episode of his podcast in which he makes a parenthesis in his car talk and dedicates the show to running. In his commentary, he runs through the answers I gave him from my position as a running coach, regarding his running, running shoes, VO2Max, streaking and why he should indeed call himself a runner.
Javier posted the story in all his digital platforms.
